Operational and Excellence Training Manager
About the Position
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operational and Excellence Training Manager to elevate our PMO to new heights. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead operational excellence by developing industry-leading best practices, optimizing workflows, and driving measurable performance improvements. This is a long-term, full-time, onsite position located in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement best practices, processes, and tools to enhance operational performance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives within the PMO.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall program delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations to leadership on performance improvements.
- Design and oversee the implementation of comprehensive training programs to enhance skills and competencies across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with departments to identify training needs, develop customized content, and deliver impactful learning experiences.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, ensuring they align with strategic goals and drive measurable outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a robust knowledge management framework to capture, document, and disseminate critical information, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration through innovative tools, platforms, and initiatives.
- Ensure that knowledge management practices support organizational continuity and long-term sustainability.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate operations excellence, training, and knowledge management into all aspects of program delivery.
- Act as a thought leader and advocate for continuous improvement and organizational learning.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years' experience in successfully building and delivering training and continuous improvement programs.
- Proven experience coordinating a project management team and providing appropriate levels of support, coaching and influence.
- Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Work, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in successfully building and delivering a large-scale operations, training and continuous improvement programs within large-scale ($500M+) civil projects in the highways/roads/bridges, transit, rail, or aviation sectors.
- Project Management Professional (PMI), Certified Instructional Designer (CID), Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM)
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $124k-$200k/yr ($60-$96/hr). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
