Parts & Accessories Developer

Summary of Role:
As a Parts & Accessories Developer, you'll take charge of managing the entire lifecycle of assigned parts and accessory projects, from concept and research to development and production, all with the goal of meeting sales and profit targets. You'll serve as the primary point of contact between MMNA, MMC, other Mitsubishi divisions, and suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. Additionally, you'll support the Aftersales team by coordinating and driving the successful launch of all initiatives, including technical and supplier interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop part & accessory concepts including recommendations on pricing and market trend analysis to achieve sales growth, margin targets, and to meet vehicle development timeline.
- Assist in the design, development, production, and implementation of assigned new parts & accessories.
- Coordinate with suppliers to meet cost targets, specifications, evaluations, timing, packaging, application correctness, volume estimates, tooling, and any other related task as needed to support MMNA parts & accessories development.
- Analyze technical information (CAD data, drawings, instructions, etc.) to ensure it is accurate, complete, and meets product requirements.
- Efficiently submit part & accessory data to Aftersales Parts to support product launch and ongoing management of assigned items. Support Aftersales Service on warranty and quality issues for all local parts & accessories including initiating corrective actions and follow-up with suppliers.
- Manage legacy parts and accessories for lifecycle actions in coordination with Aftersales Parts team.
- Manage and update OMS and other systems for support of accessory port installation program.
- Perform test installations and develop instructions, jigs, and aides to support dealer and port installation of products. Perform time studies to confirm resource requirements and difficulty of installation.
- Analyze sales and insight trends data to drive future projects and report on results.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years exempt-level experience in areas such as marketing, product development, product planning, engineering, sales, or program management with an automotive products distributor/supplier or wholesaler.
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Experience as an interface with worldwide parts and accessory sources.
- Knowledge of OEM automotive systems as it pertains to design, development, manufacturing, quality control, marketing, and quality assurance for parts and/or accessories.
- Comfortable using tools and performing work on automobiles.
- Moderate nationwide travel required.
- Must maintain a valid unconditional driver’s license and MMNA approved driving record.
Pay Transparency:
The base salary for this position ranges between $70,000 to $77,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
