Who You Are:
As Nutrabolt's Project Manager for Innovation, you will play an important role in managing the innovation pipeline, ensuring that we are developing quality products which fit into the strategic plan for the organization and Maximize Human Potential. You will be the timeline and prioritization subject matter expert responsible for creating project timelines aligned with cross-functional partners for your assigned projects (Brand, Product Development, Sourcing, Creative, Regulatory and Quality, Commercial team, etc.). You will proactively monitor your assigned project plans to make sure that all milestones are achieved and helping to keep internal teams organized and on track.
What You're Good At:
- Ensuring project/product scope is clearly defined, establishing project owner/sponsor and identifying core project team, across key New Product Innovation, Renovation, and Line Extension projects. Ensuring project roadmap as defined remains on track
- Owning commercialization timelines. You will review current timelines, understand cross-functional team needs and pain points and improve timeline structure. You will actively manage timelines from concept to launch and ensure that all cross-functional parties understand their role in the timeline to aid in delivering on key milestones. You will also anticipate, mitigate, and escalate possible delays in deliverables with corrective action plans
- Holding effective status meetings and working with the cross-functional team to ensure dashboards and reports are maintained accurately to support the management and tracking of progress of all project activities & schedules. You will ensure there is a clear purpose, agenda, and action item review for each meeting
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and activities, supporting the team in success now, and as the organization continues to scale
- Working effectively with Brand Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Product Development, R&D, Quality, Finance, Regulatory and other key stakeholders by building strong and meaningful relationships
- Identifying and creating meaningful, relevant measurements and reporting to facilitate learning and improvement for assigned projects
- Performing other duties as necessary
What You Contribute:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within commercialization of a CPG company
- A self-motivated attitude with effective project, prioritization, and time-management skills, with a desire and ability to balance multiple high priority and high visibility projects simultaneously
- A love for the challenge of figuring things out and making an impact right away
- You are highly organized, with an innate ability to connect the dots and understand the knock-on implications of actions or delays to cross functional teams
- Strong cross-functional communication. You keep project teams on the same page through incredible communication skills and can quickly build relationships, while also keeping people accountable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Programs
- Familiarity with project management tools and principles
- Familiarity with cost of goods and P&L management
- Ability to build trust and confidence by sharing information, presenting research and data objectively, and providing feedback confidently
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; able to effectively communicate cross-functionally and through all levels of management
- Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm
- A team player attitude, with the ability to inspire and be inspired by many different types of people and roles
