Data Strategy Director (Tech Focus)
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for a highly strategic and technologically astute Data Strategy Director to play a pivotal role within our growing Consultancy and Marketing Transformation Division, Beyond.
You will dedicate approximately 50% of your time to a significant retail account, focusing on elevating customer engagement and driving business growth through a unified data strategy.
You will also be assigned 50% to another prestigious client account – further details to come.
As part of the consultancy division, you will also have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to the broader Beyond offering, working with a diverse range of clients to solve complex marketing challenges through innovative data-driven solutions.
About You:
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing data strategies within a complex, multi-brand organisation, ideally within the retail, e-commerce, or loyalty sectors.
- A deep understanding of customer data platforms (Adobe, Salesforce etc), data management platforms (DMPs), marketing technology ecosystems, and advanced analytics tools.
- Proven ability to translate business objectives into clear and actionable data strategies.
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation methodologies, customer profiling, and data-driven marketing techniques.
- Experience in developing and implementing measurement frameworks to assess the impact of data-driven initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and drive consensus across diverse teams.
- A strong understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and ethical data handling practices.
- A strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data to drive customer engagement and business growth.
- Experience working in an agile environment.

Flexible Working

Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
