Position Overview
The Events & Trade Shows Manager owns the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of ON.energy’s trade show and event presence. This role is critical to positioning the company as an industry leader in AI power and perfect power solutions for AI factories. The role is highly hands-on and execution-driven, requiring strong project management, vendor coordination, design collaboration, and on-site leadership.
Working closely with Sales and Marketing, the Events & Trade Shows Manager ensures every event aligns with business objectives, supports pipeline goals, and delivers a consistent, high-impact brand presence. This role requires frequent travel and real-time problem-solving in fast-paced, on-the-ground environments.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
- With the support of the Director of Marketing, create detailed event briefs, timelines, and success metrics for all events and activations.
- With the support of Director of Marketing, create budget per event and manage budget
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales to ensure event participation supports pipeline development and customer engagement strategies.
Booth, Materials & Vendor Management
- Source, evaluate, and manage all event-related vendors, including booth builders, designers, logistics providers, print vendors, and promotional suppliers.
- Oversee booth design to ensure clear communication of ON.energy’s value proposition and leadership position.
- Manage production, shipping, delivery, installation, and teardown of booths and materials at each venue.
- Ensure booth layouts support effective traffic flow and sales engagement needs.
Logistics & Operations
- Manage all pre–trade show logistics, contracts, payments, and schedules.
- Coordinate travel logistics for event staff, including hotels, transportation, and group arrangements.
- Lead on-site setup, execution, and teardown, serving as the primary point of contact during events.
- Provide real-time troubleshooting to ensure seamless event execution.
Promotional Materials & Brand Assets
- Coordinate all trade show materials—including signage, collateral, presentations, video loops, merchandise, and giveaways—by identifying requirements early and communicating needs to the Marketing Director in a timely manner for inclusion in the Art Director’s project pipeline.
- Ensure all materials are accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand standards.
- Maintain and manage inventory of all event-related assets.
On-Site Event Leadership
- Travel to major trade shows and events to oversee booth construction, vendor performance, and on-site logistics.
- Support Sales teams during events and ensure a professional, consistent brand presence at all times.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in event management, trade shows, experiential marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in energy, technology, AI infrastructure, hardware, or industrial sectors preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent events.
- Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Comfortable with hands-on, physical event setup and fast-paced environments.
- Ability to travel frequently (up to 40–60% during peak periods).
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership.
- Proficiency with event planning tools, budgets, and logistics coordination.
