SUMMARY
Responsible for administration and follow up of the product design process. Assists in the conceptual development of
product lines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Responsible for administration and follow of product design process to include preparation of technical packages
and seasonal presentation boards, understanding of PDM process, email correspondence, etc.
● Responsible for cladding of fabric and styles.
● Assists with basic specification of product.
● Make revisions to sketches and design packages as needed.
● May assist in researching the local market.
● Responsible for maintaining design folders for reference.
● Responsible for trim design/trim sourcing, development, and keeping trim sheets up to date.
● Responsible for creating inspiration boards, mini boards for sales tools, etc.
● Responsible for New York and regional showroom sample coordination.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
● Basic computer knowledge.
● Ability to learn how to design through new/advanced technology (e.g., Illustrator and Photoshop a must).
● Basic knowledge of product and fabric.
● Basic knowledge and understanding of garment construction.
● Basic knowledge of design and color.
● Ability to perform basic flat sketches.
● Good organizational and communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires the normal demands of any job, such as sitting, standing, reaching with arms and hands, walking,
talking and hearing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-One year design experience (may include summer jobs, internships, etc.)
- 1-3 years of experience with 2D CAD art
-Experience with Creating concept boards
-Adobe Illustrator or photoshop experience

-True accessory design- HEADWEAR, GOODS, SHOES, games,
-Graphic illustration experience - creating patchwork
-Degree in Fashion
