Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
We are a full-stack financial services organisation, committed to helping Indian businesses with comprehensive and innovative payment and business banking solutions built over robust technology to address the entire length and breadth of the payment and banking journey for any business. Over the past year, we've disbursed loans worth millions of dollars in loans to thousands of businesses. In parallel, Razorpay is reimagining how businesses manage money by simplifying business banking (via Razorpay X) and enabling capital availability for businesses (via Razorpay Capital).
The Role:
The role involves working with the CTO of the firm to solve strategic org problems, identify new initiatives for the technical vertical at Razorpay that could expand into identification of growth opportunities & their prioritization.
- Evaluate the performance of Tech function’s operations and recommend strategies & tactics to achieve business goals.
- Strategy development, including project scoping, hypotheses development, consensus building, and implementation.
- Own organization-wide problem statements and gather primary & secondary research to devise an overall strategy that Tech as a function can solve for in collaboration with other business functions.
- Research, recommend, align and communicate upcoming trends to aid the business & leadership in decision making for future growth.
- Creating literature for internal (for CXO/ leadership) as well as external consumption (events, pitches).

- Ability to identify problems, break complex problems into smaller ones and prepare & drive execution plans.
- Enjoys working with data & people to facilitate data driven decisions.
- Curiosity and eye for detail by nature and drive to create an impact.
- Good understanding of Tech, operations, systems, structures and processes.
- Excellent program management skills to bring impressive know-how and the understanding that there's always more to learn.
- Track record of strategic story-telling and being able to make compelling arguments to executive leadership.
- Passion for collaboration to bring alignment and drive the execution plans across the organisation.
- Being able to balance attention to detail with swift execution to start and move things quickly and execute well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role.
Experience required:
- 3+ years of work experience across tech strategy/ engineering operations roles with senior engineering leadership/ CXOs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/ IT from a reputed institute.
- MBA from a reputed institute.
