Compliance Associate

The Role

We are seeking a Compliance Associate to join the global Compliance Department based in the London office with a primary focus on Core Compliance related matters with global coverage, along with providing support for the investment management business in the EMEA region.

What you’ll do 

  • Work closely with the global compliance team on a wide range of core compliance matters.
  • Review and approve Code of Ethics requests (for example PA dealing, gifts and entertainment, outside business interests, political contributions) and other compliance requests globally.
  • On-board new hires.
  • Assist with operations related to global Compliance training.
  • Assist with regular employee disclosures and attestations.
  • Assist with any regulatory applications in additional jurisdictions within the region, along with the preparation and submission of applications for Senior Managers (UK) and other approved functions in other jurisdictions globally.
  • Assist with regulatory filings as needed.
  • Assist with other general compliance matters and projects as needed.

 

What you’ll bring
What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Legal or related disciplines.
  • Approximately three years’ experience in a business facing compliance role at a sell-side firm or buy-side with an alternative investment firm or hedge fund.
  • Intellectually curious with a strong motivation to constantly evolve and improve.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, high-quality environment.
  • A keen interest in financial markets and a keen motivation to understand the various strategies employed by the Firm.
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy in both written and oral forms of communication.
  • Fluent written and spoken English required.
  • Foreign language skills desirable.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Ability to adapt technology to suit business requirements.

  • Project management experience.
  • Policy or content drafting experience.
