The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Procurement Manager to join our Accounting Function, working from our New York office. This individual will be responsible for embarking on a transformation to build out a Strategic Sourcing / Procurement function. This role will drive the strategic transformation from the decentralized fragmented model, to a fully integrated Sourcing / Procurement and Vendor Management organization. This position reporting into the Head of Management Company Accounting, will working closely to develop a best in class high performance procurement organization that will drive significant savings, reduce risk, create operational efficiencies and better enable revenue growth.  The successful candidate will be a visionary procurement leader and change agent with strong operational capabilities. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Develop the procurement strategy and transformation roadmap; gain consensus from leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies that drive cost efficiencies and reductions
  • Revamp company-wide policies and operating procedures
  • Lead the organization through change, drive company-wide adoption of sourcing best practices and controls
  • Help with Workday implementation and setting up best practices
  • Develop strategic governance and supplier management framework for managing key supplier relationships and escalations
  • Ensure processes such as competitive bidding, cost benchmarking, vendor identification and comprehensive contracting discipline are instituted
  • Establish process to track procurement activity / monitor savings of procurement initiatives and conduct quarterly procurement reviews with business and functional leads.
  • Establish and run a robust supplier management process across the procurement lifecycle and actively address under-performance
  • Work with business to identify, assess, qualify, and develop new suppliers needed for new product and service introductions
  • Manage the performance of Suppliers to drive alignment with company’s goals and strategies
  • Develop and lead a high performance team that is viewed as adding value to the business and the firm
  • Create templates to ensure consistency in sourcing processes and communications
  • Partner with leaders across the organization on strategies that directly impact the company’s cost reduction efforts. Build credibility with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

What you’ll bring
What you need:

  • Preferably educated to degree level, ideally but not essentially, with CIPS qualification
  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience leading procurement and strategic sourcing and vendor risk teams
  • Extensive experience managing a procurement portfolio across various categories
  • Understanding of key regulatory obligations related to Outsourcing and third-party risk management
  • Thorough knowledge of best in class sourcing, procurement, vendor management and automated payment solutions
  • Experience overseeing the selection and implementation of ERP Systems for all categories of spend
  • Strategic agility, visionary leader who can also roll up their sleeves and dig deep into the details

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $150,000.00 and $200,000.00. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
