Skylo is a global Non-Terrestrial Network service provider based in Mountain View, CA, offering a service that allows smartphone and IoT cellular devices to connect directly over existing satellites.
Skylo’s direct-to-device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs. Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3GPP standards-based cloud-native base station and core. Skylo provides anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT.
This role is located Mountain View where we are onsite 3 days a week in office.
Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo
As a Senior Product Manager (Android) at Skylo, reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will be a driving force in shaping the future of our connectivity platform. You will own the product strategy and execution for key areas beyond SOS / SMS, defining new service offerings for Android operating system based devices, and commercializing them with marquee OEM. By deeply understanding our diverse customer and partner base (MNVOs, MNOs, OEMs, chipset/module makers), you will define and deliver products that meet their evolving needs. You'll collaborate closely with internal technology teams to bring innovative services to market, ultimately driving customer adoption and Skylo's growth. Your technical acumen and product vision will be essential in solving intricate challenges of our technology and ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry. You will be a key contributor to Skylo's success, bridging the gap between technology and market needs.
How You Will Contribute
- Own the product roadmap: Define, prioritize, and maintain a clear product roadmap for Skylo's offerings, including new services & certification programs, aligned with the overall company strategy.
- Engage with diverse customers: Actively engage with customers and ecosystem partners across various segments (MNVOs, MNOs, OEMs, chipset/module makers) to understand their needs, pain points, and use cases. Translate these insights into actionable product requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and other internal teams to define, develop, and launch new services. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define and commercialize new services: Collaborate with internal technology groups to define and commercialize new services, from concept to launch. This includes defining product specifications, developing go-to-market strategies, and tracking performance.
- Analyze market trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and product differentiation.
- Measure and iterate: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of your products. Use data-driven insights to iterate on product design and strategy.
- Champion the customer: Be a strong advocate for the customer, ensuring their needs are considered throughout the product development process.
What We Look For
- 8+ years of experience in product management, preferably with deep knowledge of Android OS specifically connectivity spanning terrestrial and non-terrestrial technologies.
- Proven ability to define and execute product roadmaps, from ideation to launch.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand and discuss complex technical concepts with engineers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with diverse customer & partner segments (MNVOs, MNOs, OEMs, chipset/module makers) is highly desirable.
- Data-driven decision-making mindset, with the ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.

Additional information
The compensation range for this position is: $190,000-$225,000 This range reflects the low and high end of the range Skylo reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role.
