Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics

London, UK / Hybrid 

As a Senior Analyst on the Commercial Analytics Team, you will drive strategic, data-led projects that fuel growth across Global Marketing, Sales, and Business Operations (GMSBO), with a primary focus on the PlayStation Direct D2C business. You'll analyze conversion funnels, assess console, accessory, and bundle performance, and measure the impact of promotional campaigns. This highly cross-functional role partners closely with senior stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable insights through data storytelling. You’ll also help expand data capabilities by integrating new data sources, coding business rules, and developing metrics that address key business challenges. E-commerce and D2C experience is strongly preferred.

What you will be doing

  • Act as an Analytics Business Partner, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver insights that inform strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Lead the analytics and reporting strategy, building processes, business rhythms, and frameworks to drive growth.
  • Define reporting objectives and performance insights in partnership with cross-functional teams, piloting scalable solutions and partnering with reporting teams to enable self-service reporting.
  • Present high-quality, actionable insights and recommendations to technical, non-technical and senior audiences. Represent the Strategic Analytics organization in key meetings.
  • Work independently with initiative and creativity, knowing when to escalate or seek guidance.
  • Improve analytical capabilities across the team by documenting techniques and insights, and mentoring peers to elevate collective knowledge.
  • This role will primarily support the PlayStation Direct business, but may flex to support other GMSBO commercial analytics needs.

Experience: 

  • 5+ years in analytics or related field; understanding of statistical analysis – knowledge of regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis.
  • 5+ years of SQL; additional experience in Python and Domo/Tableau preferred.
  • Skilled at analyzing large, disparate data sets.
  • Strong data storytelling skills using clear, commercially relevant visualizations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to develop strong relationships in a globally diverse organization, recognizing different working styles, cultures, and time zones.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, a growth mindset, and a proactive, curious approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Experience with data mining, machine learning, or statistical modeling.
  • Background supporting e-commerce or direct-to-consumer businesses.
  • Experience in gaming, entertainment or media is a plus but not required.

Types of analysis might include, but are not limited to:

  • Product launch analysis
  • Supporting business casing for new products/propositions
  • Player profiling (new vs. returning) and identifying opportunities to grow the base
  • Cohort analyses
  • Promotions effectiveness
