Department overview:

As part of the Publishing Strategy, Policy and Business team, you’ll be responsible for delivering the supporting functions and reporting for the PlayStation Studios Publishing business, including strategy and business operations, cross-functional performance reporting, internal partnership enablement, and special project activation.

The team shapes go-to-market priorities to accelerate growth, allocate resources effectively, enhance skills and capabilities for executing business priorities, and drive efficiency across operations. Additionally, the team builds and maintains excellent publishing oversight, including data and insights, critical decision-making, and business reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Publishing Strategist, you support the development of PlayStation Studios’ publishing strategy by integrating perspectives across the business and translating them into clear, actionable recommendations. Your role is to bring structure to ambiguity, align cross-functional insights, and help the organisation make better decisions through strategic clarity. What drives your work is a desire to connect the dots across creative intent, business performance, and long-range vision. You are energised by the challenge of distilling complexity into narratives that resonate, and you play a foundational role in building the planning, operational, and analytical infrastructure needed to translate strategy into process.

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or a related field, ideally within gaming, entertainment, or technology sectors
  • Proven ability to work across multiple functions and synthesize inputs into clear, structured strategic recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with data and dashboards to inform decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting materials for senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated curiosity about the future of gaming, publishing, and platform evolution with a desire to turn abstract questions into actionable work
  • Experience supporting planning processes, business reviews, or strategic project work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate cross-functional perspectives from across SIE to support the development of balanced, well-informed publishing strategies and business recommendations
  • Drive the coordination and execution of foundational planning cadences (MRP, MBR, QBR), including shaping executive narratives, aligning stakeholder input, and producing clear, high-impact materials
  • Collate and synthesise data from cross-functional teams, delivering clear analysis and actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making
  • Support the operationalisation of publishing strategy, helping ensure that strategic decisions translate into actionable plans, clear documentation, and consistent rollout across the business
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that explore emerging growth opportunities and platform shifts, such as PC windowing, retail transformation, and international market expansion (e.g., China strategy)
  • Translate early-stage strategy into structured outputs, including draft policies, decision frameworks, and documentation that lay the groundwork for operational implementation
  • Support strategic connection across teams, ensuring leadership decisions are informed by a full-spectrum view of business priorities, tradeoffs, and long-term implications
  • Contribute to the team’s strategic storytelling efforts, helping shape executive-facing materials that communicate vision, context, and rationale behind key decisions

  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Dental Scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year
