Specialist, Digital Operations

As the Digital Operations Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the digital releases of SME Korea repertoire to digital retailers, through utilizing SME internal systems, managing supply chain operational workflows, and communicating with SME teams and business partners.

You will need to have solid understanding of local and global digital services, metadata, and digital release flows, while not only understanding the intricacies of digital operations but also excelling in creating and evolving efficient workflows.

You will be instrumental in managing digital releases, streamlining processes, and driving continuous improvement both professionally and personally.

 

What you'll do:

Digital Release Management: Utilize SME’s internal systems to ensure timely and accurate delivery of digital assets to both local and global digital services. Oversee the entire release process from creation to distribution.

Strategic Partnering: Act as SME Korea’s primary liaison with Label Relations staff, internal teams, and digital service providers. Build and maintain strong relationships to facilitate smooth operations.

Operational Excellence: Collaborate with regional and global operations teams to ensure the accurate delivery of digital content. Resolve any issues related to operations, supply chain, and rights management efficiently.

Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality control checks on digital assets to maintain high standards and streamline supply chain management.

Adaptability and Innovation: Embrace and drive change by being open to new ideas and approaches. Adapt operational workflows based on evolving industry trends and internal needs.

Manage & maintain day-to-day relationships with digital service providers (streaming platforms including but not limited to Apple Music, Spotify, Meta, Tiktok, Youtube, Melon, Genie, FLO, Bugs, VIBE, etc.), including global services and local services.

 

Who you are:

Have an university degree in a relevant field such as Business, Music Management, Digital Media, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications or coursework related to digital operations, project management, or data analytics are a plus. (*Not required qualification based on a hiring manager’s assessment for candidates with a right background).

Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in digital operations, preferably within the music, entertainment, or tech industries. Your background includes a proven track record of developing and optimizing operational workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Skilled in designing and implementing operational workflows that streamline processes and improve overall efficiency. You have a deep understanding of digital release cycles, metadata management, and the nuances of both local and global digital platforms.

Thrive in fast-paced environments and are adept at adapting to new technologies and evolving industry trends. You embrace change and are proactive in seeking and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.

Well-versed in MS Word and Excel, with strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions. Experience with digital distribution systems, content management platforms, and project management tools is highly desirable.

Excels in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders in/externally, including regional teams, label relations staff, and digital service providers. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively negotiate and resolve issues.

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in quality control. You ensure that all digital assets meet or exceed industry standards and are delivered on time.

Approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, using your analytical skills to quickly identify issues and implement effective resolutions. Your ability to navigate complex problems and streamline operations is a key strength.

Enthusiasm for music and the entertainment industry fuels your drive to excel in this role. You stay informed about industry trends and are motivated to contribute to the success of SME Korea’s digital operations.
