What we’re looking for
The Research and Insights (R&I) Team is a multidisciplinary group within the Research and Design organization under R&D. We are looking for a seasoned qualitative product researcher to join our forward-thinking team of insight enthusiasts who can engage with other insight-driven disciplines and execute rigorous, high-impact research. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Research and Insights, you will join a team of professionals in CX and product research.
Our team is pivotal in shaping product, design, and broader business strategies across the organization. Our work spans multiple internal partners, driving decisions that directly influence the company’s direction. As part of our innovative team, you’ll have the opportunity to conceptualize, drive, and synthesize strategic research efforts across various business areas. You'll align cross-functional partners around a unified, insights-driven perspective by leveraging your expertise in research methodology and connecting diverse data sources to elevate strategic initiatives with a well-rounded, evidence-based point of view.
What you’ll be working on
- Driving strategic research efforts across the product and business
- Showcasing qualitative research expertise to improve user understanding and identify product opportunities
- Delivering powerful storytelling to advance product transformation
- Devising research and insight roadmaps to govern cross-functional execution
- Triangulating across multiple internal and external data points
- Inspiring and improving democratized research execution
- Identifying and driving fruitful partnerships with new business stakeholders
- Partnering with the R&I Team to advance our practice and impact
- Ensuring ethical standards and compliance are upheld in all research activities
We’d love to hear from people with
- 8+ yrs conducting product or user research in R&D, ideally in B2B or B2C SaaS
- Comfortable leading strategic and generative research to explore and define innovation (e.g., exploring new markets, segments, technologies, or product offerings)
- Experience conceptualizing, deploying, and governing complex research (e.g., long-term research roadmaps and learning plans, multi-phase projects, initiating and scaling research programs)
- History of research-driven business outcomes and track record of collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Expertise in qualitative research methodologies, experience with quantitative methodologies a plus
- Preference for degrees or experiences showcasing deep understanding of human behavior and/or business
- Advanced skills in stakeholder management.
SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
