About the role:
The Mechanical Engineer will support the engineering team in designing, analyzing, and implementing mechanical systems for nuclear power plants. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the nuclear industry. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with experienced engineers to learn and develop their skills in mechanical design, analysis, and project management. We are looking for graduates as early as December 2024. It's expected for this position to relocate to the Southeastern, US in 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems.
- Assist in preparing engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct calculations and analyses to ensure the structural integrity and performance of mechanical systems.
- Review vendor documentation and technical specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
- Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
Experience
- Recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
