Windows Systems Engineer
The Swift Group is looking for a Software Engineer to join an exciting mission oriented program. The role is located on onsite in Herndon, VA and requires a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Modernize and maintain existing ASP.NET code in Visual Studio .NET.
- Manage Service Now tickets effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate in an agile environment with monthly sprint cycles.
- Develop and update advanced PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
- Identify and implement efficiencies, providing documentation and follow-through on automation.
- Utilize Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, ASP.NET, LINQ, JavaScript, jQuery, WebApi, PowerShell, SQL Server, and version control systems like TFS/GitHub.
- Work in multiple Windows Server environments simultaneously.
- Support SharePoint administration tasks and understand Active Directory integrations.
- Apply advanced CSS techniques to enhance user interfaces.
- Demonstrate understanding of Service Now functionalities and integrations.
- Utilize cloud environments such as C2S (Commercial Cloud Services).
- Adhere to Agile methodologies for software development.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 16 years' experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, ASP.NET, LINQ, JavaScript, jQuery, WebApi, PowerShell, SQL Server, and TFS/GitHub.
- Experience in modernizing and maintaining ASP.NET applications.
- Strong ability to manage Service Now requests and support ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and sprint cycles.
- Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
- SharePoint administration experience.
- Understanding of Active Directory and its integration with applications.
- Knowledge of cloud environments, especially C2S.
- Experience with Agile software development practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Microsoft engineering certifications are preferred.
