OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer 2 to work in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Identify points of vulnerability in non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA), standards, and regulations.
- Recommend mitigation strategies.
- Validate and verify system security requirements and analysis and establish system security designs.
- Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA and security systems including those for networking, computing, and multiple enclaves with different data protection requirements.
- Build IA into systems deployed to external operational environments.
- Assist architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of security functionality to ensure uniform application security policy and solutions are compliant.
- Support building of security architectures.
- Enforce the design and implantation of external systems and architectures.
- Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks.
- Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation.
- Apply system security engineering expertise in one or more of the following: system security design process, engineering lifecycle, information domain, cross domain solutions, commercial off the shelf, authentication and authorization system integration, risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, configuration control, auditing, and security testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as an ISSE.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline to include: Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineer, or a related discipline.
- DOD 8570.01 M compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required and CISSP is required.
- Four (4) years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Security Clearance:
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
