ABOUT THE TEAM 

The KYC Policy and Procedure Team are a part of Member Operations and act as a “1.5” line of defence - bridging the gap between 2LoD as the function which sets and governs the risk appetite of Tide, on the one hand, and the 1LoD Operational teams with KYX analysts, on the other.

Our team’s aim is to translate regulatory requirements and internal 2LoD requirements into actionable policies, procedures and processes which balance risk and commercial priorities, as well as customer experience objectives.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

As a KYC Policy and Procedure Manager (France), you will support the definition and implementation of the 1st Line of Defence policies and procedures within the KYC organisation, covering the UK and EU (France). Your role is pivotal in ensuring that KYC practices align with regulatory requirements and internal policies across these jurisdictions. Your role will often act as a conduit between policy setters (2LoD) and operational teams (1LoD), with a policy drafting element in itself.

You should be comfortable navigating external requirements stemming from applicable regulations to Tide’s business activity, partner requirements of Tide’s banking and card partners, as well as internal requirements.

Work tasks and responsibilities relating to the role: 

  • Assist in interpreting financial crime regulations and advising on Tide’s compliance approach for the  EU (France) and UK. 
  • Contribute to the drafting and maintenance of KYC policies and procedures. 
  • Review and assess current processes for policy adherence and collaborate on necessary changes. 4. Support the KYC Product function to ensure regulatory and policy compliance in new product development for the UK and EU markets. 
  • Work closely with the 2nd Line of Defence to agree on policy changes and constructively challenge recommendations.
  • Assist in audits and oversight from banking partners.
  • Collaborate with 2LoD Compliance to implement new regulatory requirements within KYC for the UK and EU.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • In-depth knowledge of financial crime regulations and ability to stay updated with regulatory changes in the EU (France) and UK . Familiarity with 4AMLD-6AMLD.
  • At least three years of experience in a 1st Line of Defence function, Risk & Compliance, or Internal Audit.
  • Pragmatic approach to balancing regulatory requirements with customer service and commercial objectives.
  • Ability to draft clear, concise, and easy-to-understand policies and procedures.
  • Experience in challenging senior stakeholders and maintaining robustness under challenge.
  • Background in business banking within an ACPR, AMF or CSSF regulated environment, with experience in FinTech being a plus.
  • Enthusiastic about delivering excellent service to members while managing risks effectively.
  • Working knowledge of French is a great advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, including external ones, and to articulate regulatory risks and trade-offs in processes and procedures.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making.
  • Proactive, resilient, and capable of managing multiple projects and stakeholders at once.
  • Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and able to adapt to new challenges quickly.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and always looking for ways to improve systems and procedures.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset.
