Accounting Manager

The Role:
We are looking for an exceptional Accounting Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our corporate accounting team. The ideal candidate will be hard working, have an attention to detail, have a strong desire to take initiative and learn and can communicate well across all levels of a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities would include:
- Lead the monthly and quarterly worldwide accounting close processes in compliance with US GAAP and global accounting policies.
- Manage close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Prepares formal accounting position papers and memos for complex, material, and/or unique accounting issues
- Supporting and guiding business partners with the accounting and reporting implications of transactions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies
- Prepare and present consolidated financial results and analytical reviews on significant changes to senior management and key business partners.
- Serve as the liaison with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring timely audit request completion.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting records and reduce time to close.
- Lead accounting automation projects, focusing on scalable finance and reporting system design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Provide guidelines and oversight for shared service centers supporting consolidation and financial reporting.
- Support executives with projects, research, and supplemental reporting needs.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- BA/BBA/BS Degree from 4 year university
- CPA Certification
- 5+ years experience, with financial statement audit experience preferred.
- Knowledge of financial systems (i.e.Netsuite, Banking, Navan, ZIP, etc)
- Ability to focus, complete tasks accurately and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously

Pay Disclosure
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Estimated Annual Pay Range
$125,000 - $175,000 USD
