Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and driven Demand Generation Manager focused on driving customer expansion within our Commercial business. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our existing customers continue to derive value from our products while identifying opportunities for cross-selling. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data-driven marketing, a deep understanding of the customer journey, and a proven track record of working with various cross-functional partners to execute successful demand-generation campaigns.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive demand-generation strategies to drive customer adoption and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Collaborate with sales, product, and customer success teams to align on goals, target audiences, and campaign strategies.

Campaign Management:

  • Plan, create, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, webinars, content marketing, paid advertising, and social media.

  • Optimize campaigns based on performance metrics to ensure maximum ROI and engagement.

Customer Expansion:

  • Identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell within the existing customer base.

  • Create and execute marketing programs aimed at expanding product usage and adoption.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report campaign performance, providing actionable insights to optimize future campaigns.

  • Utilize marketing automation tools and CRM systems to manage and nurture leads through the sales funnel.

Content Development:

  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to create targeted content that supports line of business sales plays.

  • Develop compelling marketing materials, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and infographics, tailored to the needs and interests of target audiences.

  • Ensure content aligns with the overall demand generation strategy and enhances the effectiveness of sales efforts.

  • Leverage customer success stories and use cases to demonstrate the value of Workato’s solutions across different industries and business functions.

Collaboration Across Teams:

  • Work closely with multiple teams, including sales, customer success, sales development, product-led growth (PLG), and leadership, to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of demand generation efforts.

  • Facilitate regular communication and collaboration to share insights, align goals, and optimize marketing strategies.

  • Foster strong working relationships across teams to drive a cohesive customer engagement and expansion approach.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of marketing experience with experience in integrated campaigns, field programs, and demand generation

  • Proven experience in customer marketing or growth marketing, preferably in the software or SaaS industry.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Demandbase) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A strong go-getter attitude.

  • Exceptional in navigating cross-functional relationships and working collaboratively with various teams across marketing, sales, customer support, PLG, and leadership teams.

  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

For California applicants, the pay for this role begins at $95,000 plus variable, benefits, perks, and equity.
