We’re looking for a Salesforce Engineer/Administrator to join our high-impact Go-To-Market Systems team at Zip. In this remote-first role, you’ll lead the development, optimization, and administration of Salesforce across Sales, Marketing, and Support teams. You will act as an architect and engineer, shaping the long-term vision and strategy for our Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring it aligns with overarching company objectives. You’ll deliver scalable CRM solutions that directly influence how Zip connects with its merchant partners and customers, building an internal ecosystem that accelerates sales productivity, service delivery, and marketing efficiency. You’ll join the GTM Systems team, partnering closely with RevOps, Sales, Marketing, and Merchant Success to design and deliver a high-performance Salesforce environment. You’ll be both a builder and strategic thinker owning long-term platform decisions, solving integration challenges, and mentoring others while remaining deeply hands-on.
Interesting problems you’ll get to solve
- Build and maintain advanced Salesforce automation using Flow, Apex, and triggers to streamline sales, marketing, and service workflows, ensuring scalability and maintainability for future growth.
- Design and own integrations between Salesforce and external systems (marketing tools, support platforms, data warehouses, AI apps), resolving data flow and architectural challenges
- Optimize end-to-end processes across lead-to-deal, onboarding, and case management for GTM efficiency, identifying and addressing significant operational issues
- Administer the Salesforce org with best practices in security, access control, and data governance.
Develop Lightning Components and enhance UX for different user personas. - Architect future-state CRM solutions with a 12–24 month roadmap lens, anticipating data growth and complexity.
- Collaborate with GTM stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with business goals.
- Create visibility for GTM teams through actionable dashboards, pipeline tracking, and campaign metrics.
- Mentor junior admins/developers as a technical lead and thought partner.
- Own ongoing platform hygiene, user training, and release cycles with operational excellence.
What you’ll bring to the team
- 12+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience supporting GTM functions in high-growth environments.
- Mastery in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud – plus experience with custom objects, validation rules, and process automation at an enterprise scale.
- Expert Skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and integrations via REST/SOAP APIs or middleware (e.g. Mulesoft, Zapier)), with a proven track record of solving complex integration challenges.
- Proven ability to build scalable architecture, forecast platform needs, and evaluate Salesforce releases.
- Experience planning and executing complex data syncs with BI tools, warehouses, or marketing automation platforms.
- Strong familiarity with AI tools and frameworks, and applied experience embedding AI features (e.g. intelligent routing, predictive scoring, chatbot flows) into Salesforce workflows is a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) required.
- Additional certifications (e.g. Platform Developer I/II, Service Cloud Consultant, Architect) are a plus.
- Highly analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven problem-solving of unique issues
- Strong communicator who thrives in cross-functional Agile teams and can translate complex systems into business impact.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations. The annual base Pay Range for this position is $132,000 - $150,000 USD. This range reflects our US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our tiered premium strategy. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
