As the Jr. Quality Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Review new engineering tasks and determine inspection requirements based on drawings, specifications, and testing needs.

Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections on a wide variety of parts, including CNC-machined components, castings, injection-molded parts, 3D-printed items, and electrical/mechanical assemblies.

Use precision measurement tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and 3D laser scanners to verify part quality.

Check and validate documentation provided by suppliers to ensure parts meet all technical and quality standards.

Generate and maintain inspection records, including test reports, dimensional checks, material certifications, rework instructions, packaging evaluations, and part approval documentation.

Log and report any non-conforming parts, and support investigation and resolution of quality issues.

Maintain proper tracking and traceability of all parts and materials throughout the inspection process.

Ensure all inspection and measurement equipment is properly calibrated and maintained on schedule.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve recurring quality concerns.

Work closely with quality, engineering, and operations teams to ensure quality requirements are clearly communicated and followed
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality inspection or metrology.

Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical inspection, and use of standard precision tools.

Familiarity with quality requirements for parts made using CNC machining, 3D printing, or other manufacturing processes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Basic understanding of quality systems and tools like PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Measurement System Analysis.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
