The successful candidate will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive support to the Equity business and its clients, working closely with development and product management teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to projects and collaborate with global teams on transformational initiatives
  • Onboard applications into the production environment, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption
  • Build and maintain cross-organizational relationships through project work and team collaboration
  • Provide incident and problem management support, with a focus on proximity to the business and timely resolution of issues
  • Monitor applications and follow up on issues, ensuring prompt attention and resolution
  • Develop and maintain knowledge management and documentation, ensuring that information is up-to-date and easily accessible
  • Perform maintenance and enhancements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the FIX protocol and basic understanding of trading platforms, particularly in the equity space
  • Strong database and Unix technical acumen, with the ability to navigate and troubleshoot database and Unix-related issues
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g. shell scripting, Python, etc.) to automate redundant tasks and improve efficiency
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems

 

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. A strong understanding of the financial industry, particularly in the equity space, is desirable.
