Accounting Manager

Position Summary:
- We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, leading the month-end close process, supervising accounting staff, and supporting audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and a proactive, process-improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll accounting.
- Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Lead the preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and process integration.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Assist with ERP implementations, upgrades, or enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- CPA designation (strongly preferred).
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment.
- Background in construction or manufacturing preferred
- Experience with process automation or ERP implementation is a plus.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance or internal audit best practices (if applicable).

$137,862-$168,498 annually DOE
