About the Team:
At Aspire, the Data team plays a strategic role in driving our business forward. We work at the intersection of all the teams to build models, improve processes, and generate valuable insights for the business. The team supports all the key verticals across the company - (i) Operations: Enhancing process efficiency by optimizing onboarding workflows, and identifying fraud and AML risks through data-driven insights; (ii) Corporate: Strategic decision-making, building our P&L reports and driving our lending strategies; (iii): Growth: Analyzing customer behavior, conversion trends, and market benchmarks to refine acquisition strategies and drive growth; and (iv) Product: Tracking and improving product adoption, guiding the Product team with data-driven insights to drive the right enhancements and improve the overall customer experience. We also have a data engineering team who helps us build scalable data pipelines, ensures data integrity, and enables efficient data access across the company.
About the Role
Are you ready to take your career in analytics to the next level? We are searching for an Assistant Manager - Analytics to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of data analysis, interpreting and analysing results, planning different processes and building business algorithms on different trends of data as per the requirement. You will also be responsible for building metrics tracking dashboards used regularly by stakeholders to track their performance, drive execution along with stakeholders and manage multiple projects. Your insights will drive greater efficiency, enhance team impact, and optimize critical business processes, ensuring smarter decision-making and risk management.
As an Analytics Manager in the Data team, your responsibilities will include supporting key business functions:
- Product Retention & Adoption: Liaise with the Tech team to build data pipelines and implement business logic for tracking product feature adoption. Monitor customer engagement and retention while identifying opportunities to enhance user experience and increase product adoption.
- Sales & Marketing Analytics: Analyze new customer acquisition trends and revenue data to support Growth leaders in refining and optimizing sales and marketing strategies. Provide insights on campaign performance and customer behavior to improve overall business outcomes.
- Onboarding & Payment Operations: Reduce onboarding drop-offs by streamlining the customer journey and enhancing activation across payment partners. Monitor payment performance, ensuring fast and reliable transactions with minimal decline rates through data-driven insights.
- AML & Financial Crime Prevention: Lead initiatives to identify and prevent fraudulent transactions and anti-money laundering activities. Implement proactive alert mechanisms and leverage fraud detection techniques to strengthen compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Beyond these team responsibilities, you will also play a key role in driving data excellence across the organization. Some of those key responsibilities will include:
- Performance Metrics: Create, test, and evaluate performance metrics that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of Operations team
- Own the Talk: Analyze key trends and customer usage patterns and share outcomes with COO and Operations leaders to drive smoother and faster customer experience
- Business Transformation: Own and implement new business metric definitions which act as a foundation for building the expansion strategy
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with different business functions to translate technical specifications into actionable insights that address business needs.
- BI Solutions: Design, build, and enhance existing processes and infrastructure within our data team to future proof and scale our solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, statistics, economics, or similar quantitative discipline
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, reporting or business strategy role
- Proficiency in MySQL for data extraction and analysis is mandatory
- Prior experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt is preferred
- Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence software, particularly Tableau, is a plus
- Good communication and organisation skills, with the ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, precise and actionable manner required
- Familiarity with data monitoring and understanding of customer onboarding cycle
- Experience in leveraging third-party data from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms such as HubSpot, Marketing platforms like Meta, LinkedIn & Google Ads; and other messaging platforms like Intercom
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and Index/Match
Preferred Qualifications:
- Structured, critical and analytical thinking to deep dive for insights and problem solving
- Effective planning, organizational, and communication abilities
- Proven initiative in diving deep into datasets to uncover insights
- Capability to manage multiple projects from different stakeholders simultaneously
- A strong background in product analytics, with experience in tracking user behavior, feature adoption, and funnel conversion metrics
- Industry experience in a SaaS/fintech business will be an added advantage
