Senior Vendor Relationship Manager

Job Overview

The Senior Vendor Relationship Manager works to establish and maintain third-party relationships that produce efficient, high-quality operational results. You will be responsible for ensuring our third-party service providers deliver the desired outcomes within contracted service levels. You will be a valuable operations expert that partners closely with business process owners and collaborates across teams within the enterprise to de-risk and improve operations with and through third-parties.

What you'll do:

  • Evaluate strategic alignment, health, and scalability of current and potential future third-parties, facilitate sourcing requirements gathering and business-readiness for outsourcing activities, support business case development for incremental spend, support Procurement-led RFP and contracting processes, and establish clear commercial guardrails to mitigate risk for the operation and extended customer experience
  • Develop & maintain strong and productive relationships with internal customers and third-party counterparts
  • Review and process third-party financial transactions, maintaining alignment with Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting at regular intervals
  • Monitor performance to ensure contractual service levels are met or exceeded
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with third-parties, using existing and/or suggesting improvements to program governance processes
  • Proactively manage third-party contracts and commercial changes, including amendments, renewals, and terminations in line with strategic business plans
  • Lead regular service review meetings and assist in identifying need, defining, and implementing third-party process improvements
  • Coordinate regular on-site due diligence visits and audits
  • Partner with business process owners and other internal teams to develop, maintain, and execute on secure access, support, and incident management procedures
  • Partner with internal and external teams on third party-impacting incidents to ensure understanding, resolution, and accountability to address customer and financial implications and future risk mitigation
  • Maintain and enhance the comprehensive record of third-party operators and corresponding documentation for each third-party service program
  • Identify and regularly report third-party metrics for inter-team transparency

What you'll do:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Exemplary business partnership and organizational management skills
  • Proficiency in managing escalations, working cross-functionally to achieve resolution, and takes pride in helping others succeed
  • Experience taking operational, data-driven metrics to drive decision making and value
  • A self-starter that can analyze, plan, lead, execute, and measure results to deliver successful outcomes, maintaining transparency, with minimal guidance or support. Known for making sound decisions in complex situations and under pressure
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize with strong attention to detail
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
