Payroll Account Executive
Hybrid - Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.
What You’ll Do
Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist at BambooHR, where you'll be at the forefront of the rapidly growing HR software industry. In this role, you'll be instrumental in acquiring new customers for our payroll services, while fostering strong, lasting relationships that highlight your expertise in delivering tailored solutions. As part of a collaborative team, you'll also work cross-departmentally to partner with other sales reps, contributing to strategic deals and helping drive product upsells. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
- Business Case Development & Executive Engagement: Build tailored, data-driven business cases and engage executive sponsors to align payroll solutions with customer goals and challenges.
- Gain Commitment & Manage Customer Objections: Guide customers through decision-making stages, securing their commitment and overcoming objections through preparation and proactive solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Deal Support:Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to support deal progression and ensure seamless execution of customer solutions.
- Product Knowledge & Competitor Awareness: Master payroll service offerings, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and leverage insights to defend against competitors and drive market share.
- Negotiation & Customer Lifecycle Management: Lead strategic negotiations, manage the customer lifecycle from onboarding to business reviews, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities to maximize customer value.
- Opportunity Qualification & Stakeholder Engagement: Qualify leads, build rapport with decision-makers, and tailor sales approaches to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- 1-2 years of Sales Experience: Prior experience in sales, particularly in account management or business development.
- Consultative Selling: Experience in understanding customer needs and developing tailored solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams or projects.
- Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Experience in managing strategic negotiations and overcoming customer objections.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
