Controller

The Controller is a key member of our accounting management team in Japan. This role requires an engaged and collaborative leader with a balance of accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and financial management capability.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting with adherence to GAAP principles.

· Manage local statutory accounting and reporting for Japan and Asia Pacific region.

· Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

· Oversee Japan controllership activities including the following.

· Maintaining the general ledger

· Supporting the month end close process

· Completing consolidations, intercompany transactions, and eliminations

· Supporting the development of robust financial systems

· Adhering to a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk

· Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion with minimal disruptions.

· Ensure completeness of all documentation required for annual financial and statutory audits.

· Coordinate with FP&A to produce monthly and quarterly Forecast vs. Actual reporting.

· Provide proactive cross-functional support to various departments, embodying a customer service mentality.

· Maintain and enhance internal controls to protect assets and sustain regulatory compliance.

· Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement, inclusivity, and professional development.

· Interface with Francisco Partners and members of the executive team to prepare board and investor materials.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years’ experience in Accounting, 3-5 years’ experience as a Controller

· Strong knowledge of US GAAP

· Familiar with reporting requirements for Japan and Asis Pacific countries

· Flexibility and adaptability to standing up a new NetSuite environment to full production operations

· Robust knowledge in financial management and compliance

· Experience working in technology companies is preferred

· Proficiency with NetSuite is preferred

· Excellent leadership and communication skills

· Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
