About Box

Box (NYSE:BOX) is the leader in Intelligent Content Management. Our platform enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI. We help companies thrive in the new AI-first era of business. Founded in 2005, Box simplifies work for leading global organizations, including AstraZeneca, JLL, Morgan Stanley, and Nationwide. Box is headquartered in Redwood City, CA, with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

By joining Box, you will have the unique opportunity to continue driving our platform forward. Content powers how we work. It’s the billions of files and information flowing across teams, departments, and key business processes every single day: contracts, invoices, employee records, financials, product specs, marketing assets, and more. Our mission is to bring intelligence to the world of content management and empower our customers to completely transform workflows across their organizations. With the combination of AI and enterprise content, the opportunity has never been greater to transform how the world works together and at Box you will be on the front lines of this massive shift.

Why Box Needs You

Our Conversion Infra team powers one of Box’s most critical experiences: high-fidelity document previews. We operate and evolve the Windows-based infrastructure that handles document processing for billions of files — enabling preview, AI, and Search, all while meeting Box’s enterprise-grade standards for security, performance, and scale. As we modernize our platform and shift more of our workloads to the public cloud, we’re focused on automation, cost and performance optimizations, and expanding support for new content sources like SharePoint. We’re looking for engineers who are excited to work across infrastructure and development — building tools, automating deployments, and ensuring a fast, reliable, and secure conversion pipeline. Your work will directly impact how customers interact with their most important documents, every day.

  • Drive improvements to our cloud-native architecture on GCP, including deployment pipelines, monitoring, and rollout strategies
  • Support new feature development for enterprise-focused conversion use cases, such as SharePoint and file system integrations
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met through proactive remediation, patching, and configuration management
  • Contribute to technical planning and execution in agile workflows — including sprint planning, quarterly planning, and architectural reviews
  • Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in on-call rotations as needed
