What you'll do:

The team is looking to recruit an Account Executive to work with some of its leading global technology brands, across corporate, consumer and B2B audiences. The role will see you be a vital part of our client service team, developing foundational skills in communication, client service, and project management. You'll work closely with senior team members to support day-to-day activities, learn industry best practices, and contribute to successful client campaigns. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the team on day-to-day communication tasks, including media relations, digital content creation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Researching and writing press releases, blogs and reports to a high standard in client format
  • Helping to organise press briefings, conferences and similar events for clients
  • Assisting with day-to-day media liaison, developing solid media relationships and managing media requests, product reviews and events/product launches
  • Supporting on content creation; infographics and social media posts, demonstrating an understanding of the differences in style, tone and content
  • Having a good understanding of the importance of client service; ensure you have mastered the basics: quality control, quality of writing, meeting deadlines, excellent project management
  • Understanding your client’s world, their industry and their organisation

Experience that contributes to success:

  • A collaborative attitude to working as part of a dynamic team, proactively seeking guidance and support from senior colleagues
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise interactions with team members and clients
  • A fan of technology that enhances human progress, who is excited by its future within society and business
  • Ideally, experience in the technology and/or adjacent sectors
  • A media hound and storyteller who loves to craft compelling pitches and knows how to sell them to business, trade and national media

Our London office:
Burson employs over 450 people in the UK, and our stunning Southwark offices run over two floors as part of the larger WPP Campus, Rose Court. We have access to a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views across London and a bar/restaurant area, which is a great spot for client meetings and socialising with the wider agency and other WPP OpCo’s.
