Are you ready to play a key role in protecting the present while driving the innovations of tomorrow? We’re looking for a Senior Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance to join our dynamic team and support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.

Your Impact as a Senior Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer:

In this exciting role, you’ll be part of an agile development team responsible for building and maintaining a powerful Platform as a Service (PaaS) that spans multiple security domains. Your work will enable multiple tenants to deploy a wide variety of applications and data services, providing critical capabilities to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage a Red Hat GitOps to deploy, maintain and optimize the Red Hat OpenShift platform across cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments.
• Support and manage OpenShift operators and frameworks such as Crossplane, Kyverno, EDB, Elastic Cloud for Kubernetes.
• Lead the deployment of OpenShift to new sites, ensuring smooth integration and scalability.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand integration needs, scaling the platform to meet growing demands.
• Partner with Security teams to ensure compliance, creating secure solutions that meet evolving requirements.
• Support a range of data services, including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack.
• Assist tenants in troubleshooting their application deployment and operational issues

• Document processes and system configurations, creating detailed and clear documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with 5+ years of platform operations experience.
• Security Requirements: Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II standards, with one of the following certifications: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift, particularly in cloud and/or vSphere environments.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Skills in Python, Shell scripting, and Git.
• Proficiency with Linux distributions like RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD orchestration tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitOps.
• Strong understanding of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and the broader Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem.

Preferred Certifications:

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift.

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $175-195k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
