Position Overview:
Diligent is looking for a dynamic and strategic Communications Manager to support and enhance our internal communications and public relations efforts. This role is instrumental in supporting the development and execution of internal communications strategies to enhance employee engagement and alignment with the company’s goals. This role will also provide support to the global communications team including the public relations program to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all communication channels.
Responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
- Assist in drafting, editing and publishing of internal communications materials, including emails, intranet content and announcements .
- Support the coordination of company webinars and town halls .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, stories, and updates for internal communications campaigns .
- Assist in identifying and drafting responses to key industry awards and speaking engagement submissions .
- Help maintain and update internal communication channels, such as the company intranet .
- Show an interest in communications trends and best practices, contributing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to our communication strategies .
Public Relations Support:
- Help manage our global PR agency of record, including supporting with media inquiries and interview requests across our global markets.
- Create content for press releases, Q&As and other media materials.
- Monitor PR results and report on coverage on a monthly basis .
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends affecting our customers and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
Required Experience/Skills
- 3-5 years of experience working as part of a communications team (agency or in-house).
- Be accountable for meeting multiple deadlines, with ability to react to immediate company and project needs.
- Develop and enhance communications-related performance metrics to measure effectiveness, progress, and business impact.
- Proactive and thoughtful communicator.
- Passion for delivering strategic communication campaigns and bringing creative ideas to life.
- You have proven success in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
Nice to haves:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Proven track record of executing successful internal communication campaigns and public relations campaigns.
- Team player that can also work independently and is self-motivated.
