About the Position

 

As the Regional Director for Northern Europe & Benelux you will play a pivotal role in partnering closely with regionally based sales executives, the SVP of EMEA and internal subject matter experts. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the sales process, support your assigned team, and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed ambitious revenue goals. The position will support implementing strategic initiatives to expand market presence, build and nurture long-term client relationships, and collaborate with the global leadership team to align the regional strategy with overall corporate objectives. This role demands a highly intelligent, positive, and self-motivated leader who can inspire teams and deliver transformative growth

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver peak performance, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue and ARR targets.
  • Build a sales culture that reflects the growth culture of Energy Exemplar rooted in collaboration, trust, customer-centricity, and a high-performance mindset.
  • Collaborate with the SVP EMEA to design and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth across the region.
  • Identify gaps in the team, processes, or training and implement solutions to address them effectively.
  • Oversee pipeline velocity, build, quality, and closure rates to ensure accurate forecasting and efficient deal progression.
  • Maintain accountability for delivering regional revenue targets, ARR goals, and upsell opportunities.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding of top sales talent to strengthen the team.
  • Assist the sales team in designing and executing high-impact sales campaigns that resonate with the region's market dynamics.
  • Work closely with Marketing and SDR teams to align on campaigns, communications, and customer events that support lead generation and pipeline growth.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or sales related field
  • 8+ years of experience in direct enterprise software sales across Northern Europe & Benelux Region
  • 3+ years of experience operating across the Energy, Power, Utilities or Oil and Gas industry
  • Proven experience in leading high-performing sales teams within the technology sector, with a focus on driving revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of sales methodologies, pipeline management, and forecasting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills to inspire a culture of success and accountability.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of sales quota achievement
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong understanding of sales, marketing, customer success, and operational best practices
