Join Our Journey at Engine

From seamless booking options with top airlines, hotels, and car rental providers to single-invoice billing and flexible trip modifications, we make travel not only easier to manage but also enjoyable. Backed by powerhouse investors like Telescope Partners, Blackstone, Elefund, and Permira, we’re growing fast—and we want you to be part of it.
The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Senior Manager of PR & Communications to shape and amplify Engine’s voice in the market through compelling, data-driven storytelling. In this high-impact, senior individual contributor role, you’ll transform insights from our proprietary travel and industry data into narratives that power press coverage, thought leadership, and brand authority. You’ll lead the development of flagship industry reports, mine our data for newsworthy trends, and partner closely with our external PR agency to ensure Engine is consistently part of the industry conversation.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who blends a journalist’s curiosity with a communicator’s finesse, able to turn complex data into headlines and human stories that resonate with journalists, customers, partners, and industry influencers.
You will report directly to the SVP of Marketing.
What You’ll Do:
Develop Data-Driven PR Campaigns
- Partner with Engine’s Data & Analytics team to source and validate compelling data points.
- Shape these insights into clear, media-ready storylines aligned with Engine’s brand narrative and communications goals.
- Package findings into press releases, media pitches, and social-ready soundbites.
Lead Flagship Industry Reports
- Own the strategy and editorial direction for Engine’s “State of Business Travel” report and other high-visibility studies.
- Define the story arc, outline key insights, draft the narrative, and collaborate on visuals and design.
- Ensure reports are positioned to generate media interest, partner engagement, and industry recognition.
Manage PR Agency Relationship
- Serve as the primary liaison to Engine’s external PR agency, guiding strategy, providing story inputs, and ensuring execution aligns with brand objectives.
- Collaborate with the agency on proactive media outreach, press event planning, and reactive opportunities.
Create Press-Ready Content Assets
- Continuously mine Engine’s data for quick-turn “nuggets” and trends that can feed media outreach.
- Develop supporting content such as rankings, indexes, charts, and infographics that reinforce storylines and are optimized for press pickup.
Amplify Across Channels
-
Partner with marketing, brand, and social teams to extend the reach of PR-driven stories into owned and paid channels.
-
Provide data-rich content that fuels executive thought leadership, speaking engagements, and partner communications.
What We’re Looking For:
- Data Storytelling Expertise: 7+ years in PR, communications, content, or journalism roles with a strong portfolio of data-driven stories, reports, or campaigns that have achieved media traction.
- Strong Editorial Skills: Proven ability to distill complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives with both strategic and tactical execution.
- PR Agency Leadership: Experience managing an external PR agency or equivalent, with a track record of delivering measurable results in earned media.
- Media Savvy: Deep understanding of what makes a story newsworthy, how to package data for journalists, and how to build relationships in the press.
- Content Development: Proficiency in briefing designers on charts, infographics, and visuals that bring stories to life.
- Business Acumen: Ability to align storytelling with brand positioning, business priorities, and target audience needs.
- Collaboration Skills: Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, product, and executive teams to develop and deploy communications initiatives.
