Who You Are:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in gathering requirements for front, middle and back-office functions, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong fundamental in financial products and operations, and good understanding of technology, and be adept at utilizing tools like Jira for effective project management. They should have a solid grasp of financial operations, payment systems, web2, and web3 protocols, and possess excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders across sales/trading, operations, legal and compliance, along with engineering teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements for middle and back-office functions within the crypto investment bank.
- Business/Technology Expertise: Utilize knowledge of relevant business processes and/or technologies to assess feasibility and propose technical solutions to meet business requirements.
- Project Management: Create and manage Jira tickets, ensuring clear and concise documentation of tasks and requirements. Develop Jira dashboards to track project progress and identify bottlenecks. Understanding of project management methodologies.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Facilitate UAT processes, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that developed solutions meet business needs and are of high quality.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across operations, trading, legal and compliance departments, acting as a liaison between business and engineering teams.
- Data Modeling: Conduct data modeling activities to define data requirements and structures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Understanding of Middle/back-Office Operations: Demonstrate a good understanding of middle/back-office operations, including concept and systems around payments and transfers for traditional and crypto-based solutions.
- Knowledge of Web2 and Web3 Protocols: Stay abreast of the latest developments in web2 and web3 protocols, leveraging this knowledge to inform technical solutions and requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial operations as a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst/Operations Analysts or similar, preferably with cryptocurrency experience.
- Strong familiarity with Jira for project management and Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) and creating comprehensive test plans.
- Solid understanding of data structure and modeling principles and techniques.
- Good understanding of SQL for querying databases and familiarity with Java or Python programming languages a plus.
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle, accounting principle or payment systems, including traditional and crypto-based solutions.
- Familiarity with web2 and web3 protocols, with a willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies.

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.
Base Salary Range
$120,000 - $170,000 USD
