Summary

The Senior Director, (Site Leader) Aircraft Completions Facility, is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the Moses Lake facility. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, enhancing profitability, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction through the execution of long-term strategies.

Working closely with the Director of Maintenance and Accountable Manager, the Senior Director will support the successful delivery of aircraft completion, refurbishment, modification, and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in VVIP large aircraft completions and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

As a key member of the extended multi-site leadership team, the Senior Director will report directly to the Vice President of Production and engage regularly with stakeholders at all levels—from executive leadership to frontline personnel and clients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute site-wide strategies to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and customer
  • Lead long-term planning for facility growth, workforce development, and infrastructure
  • Monitor and manage aircraft completion and maintenance performance against KPIs for quality, schedule, and
  • Oversee hangar and personnel capacity planning to ensure optimal resource
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across maintenance, avionics, and
  • Establish mentorship and training programs to develop the next generation of skilled
  • Ensure tools, systems, and physical infrastructure are maintained and upgraded to meet evolving needs.
  • Lead capital improvement projects and facility
  • Ensure full compliance with FAA, EASA, and other applicable National Airworthiness Authority regulations.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification

Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field required.  (Master’s degree preferred).  FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification strongly preferred.  Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in aircraft completions, including 10+ years in a leadership role.  In-depth knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations, aviation standards, and maintenance practices.  Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.  Demonstrated experience in budget management and strategic planning.

This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $167,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
