Omnichannel Operations Program Specialist

The Role 

The Omnichannel Operations Program Specialist manages key projects and strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence with the primary focus on inventory operations in our retail locations. With a continuous improvement mindset, this role will be focused on root cause analysis to identify process improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and drive execution through proper documentation and training. This role will also provide day-to-day support for our retail operations field teams to resolve operational challenges and be a key partner for cross-functional teams on retail operations matters.

This individual will be supporting our Northeast market and will be required to travel, minimum 50%. 

Responsibilities 

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for retail operations programs and processes, primarily focused on retail inventory operations 
  • Leads the development and implementation of retail continuous improvement projects. 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather feedback and identify process opportunities impacting customer experience, employee engagement and/or key sales and expense metrics. 
  • Serve as a central point of contact for retail store managers, addressing their operational inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance. 
  • Assist in resolving retail operational challenges and issues by leveraging the understanding of retail processes and procedures. 
  • Utilize data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiency gains and cost reduction. 
  • Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key business partners to effectively support initiatives that impact retail operations. 
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for store teams on operational processes and procedures. 
  • May be assigned other duties and tasks not specifically outlined in this description. 

Qualifications  

  • 3+ years in a retail operation setting, ideally as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager 
  • Experience utilizing METRC or BioTrack 
  • User knowledge of Seed to Sale (POS); Dutchie, MJ Freeway 
  • Experience in a project manager or similar role in retail, restaurant, or other multi-unit business.
  • Experience establishing and communicating procedures and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies. 
  • Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners. 
  • Highly professional, high level of ethics and integrity; accepts accountability for results; works with a sense of urgency.
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Travel expected at a minimum of 50% 

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must possess valid driver’s license 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
