
Studio Manager - Assistant Vice President
About the Role
iCapital is seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Studio Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our in-house studio. This individual thrives in a fast-paced production environment, has a deep understanding of studio equipment and media workflows, and enjoys overseeing multiple tasks, from managing gear to shooting and editing content.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee studio equipment inventory, ensuring all gear is functional, organized, and up to date. Recommend upgrades and new purchases as needed.
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for both long-form and short-form studio productions.
- Partner with the Producer to shoot social media content which includes setting up and breaking down equipment and quickly editing and delivering assets to the Social team for same day turnaround.
- Collaborate with producers and creative teams to ensure a smooth execution of shoots.
- Provide on-set technical support and troubleshoot issues in real time.
- Manage media assets including ingesting, backing up, organizing, and archiving footage.
- Ensure proper file naming conventions and metadata tagging for efficient retrieval and editing.
- Perform light-to-medium editing tasks such as rough cuts, audio syncing, and basic color correction.
- Coordinate with external production agencies, freelance crews, and vendors to support studio shoots and special projects.
- Ensure third-party teams deliver final assets in an organized, timely, and technically sound manner that aligns with internal media management standards.
- Define and evolve studio workflows for efficiency and quality.
- Communicate challenges, resource needs, and timeline risks to leadership effectively.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in studio production or media operations
- Strong knowledge of studio equipment including cameras, lighting setups, and audio gear
- Proficiency in media management workflows and cloud storage platforms
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to multitask and adapt to changing production needs
- Experience with live streaming or multi-cam setups
- Basic motion graphics or audio mixing skills
- Knowledge of financial media environment
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
