About the Role

 

iCapital is looking to hire a Product Solutions Vice President to lead product strategy and delivery for FireLight®, (Hexure now part of iCapital) flagship e-application and order-entry platform. FireLight is the largest and most strategic product in the portfolio, used by the majority of top U.S. life and annuity carriers and distributors to submit new business. This role exists to provide FireLight with the dedicated senior product leadership needed as the platform, customer base, and business ambitions continue to grow.

 

This role leads a team of Product Managers focused on FireLight, with selected cross-domain responsibilities where FireLight intersects with ForeSight, Vive, and IXN. This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role, requiring hands-on engagement with the product, data, and customer experience while leading and developing the team. The position operates within a domain where customer expectations continue to rise rapidly, including modern UX, AI-assisted workflows, real-time integrations, and UI-driven configuration, while supporting a customer base that demands enterprise-grade configurability, compliance, and reliability. Success requires aligning and advancing these priorities as a cohesive product strategy.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Own and drive the FireLight product strategy, vision, and roadmap, aligning investments and priorities to business objectives, customer needs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing strategic initiatives, customer requests, technical investments, and operational requirements to maximize value delivery.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, providing coaching, direction, and accountability to ensure effective product planning, execution, and career growth.
  • Drive cross-domain product decision-making, partnering across business and technology teams to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and optimize end-to-end customer experiences.
  • Establish and maintain customer feedback mechanisms, translating customer insights, market trends, and user research into product enhancements and strategic roadmap direction.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver product initiatives on time, manage risks, and achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Enable go-to-market readiness for product launches and enhancements, collaborating with sales, marketing, training, and customer-facing teams to drive adoption and customer success.
  • Champion the strategic evolution of the FireLight platform, leveraging AI-driven capabilities and process modernization to reduce NIGO rates, increase operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and communicate product performance metrics and executive-level reporting, ensuring transparency into roadmap progress, adoption, business impact, and return on investment.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, insurance or annuity domain experience is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience leading product managers
  • 5+ years of enterprise B2B SaaS experiencee
  • Experience leading workflow, rules-based, or low-code platform products, with a strong understanding of scalable configuration frameworks and enterprise software delivery
  • Demonstrated expertise defining and delivering API-driven products and integrations
  • Experience delivering AI-assisted features and capabilities that enhance user experience, efficiency, and business outcomes
  • Able to travel up to 10%

 

 

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $160,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
