Business Development Representative, Data Solutions - Associate

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to play a key role in driving the success of our Sales team. This individual will be responsible for the critical early stages of the sales cycle, focusing on prospecting, lead qualification, and building strong relationships with potential clients. The BDR will actively research and engage with prospects, ensuring a healthy sales pipeline for the team while helping identify and target the best opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to new prospects proactively through multiple channels (phone, email, social media) to initiate meaningful conversations and build relationships.
  • Communicate effectively the value of our products and services, tailoring the message to meet the specific needs of each prospect.
  • Coordinate and book meetings for regional sales representatives, ensuring smooth transitions and handoffs.
  • Identify high-potential companies and decision-makers that align with our ideal customer profile.
  • Engage prospects to deeply understand their pain points, challenges, and goals, positioning our solutions as the best fit.
  • Ensure a robust and continuous flow of qualified Leads into the sales pipeline and move them seamlessly through the early stages of the sales process.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or the fintech industry, with a proven track record of driving lead generation and achieving sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems, with the ability to manage and track leads, opportunities, and sales activities effectively
  • Familiar with the sales process, including lead qualification, prospecting, and moving leads through the early stages of the funnel
  • A passion for technology, innovation, and understanding customer pain points to provide tailored solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with potential clients
  • Able to think outside the box and craft personalized outreach strategies to engage different types of prospects
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to quickly adjust strategies based on feedback and evolving market conditions
  • Capable of truly understanding the needs and pain points of prospects to effectively position the right solution
  • A self-starter who is resilient, goal-oriented, and consistently driven to succeed

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, this role is eligible for comisssion. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).
