Product Manager, Evergreen Private Fund Solutions - Assistant Vice President/Vice President

New York, New York, United States

About the Role

The market for alternative investments is undergoing a significant transformation, and iCapital is at the forefront, building the technology and service models that connect General Partners (GPs) with the high-net-worth market. We are launching a new, dedicated line of business to provide a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for a sophisticated and rapidly growing fund structure: the '34 Act Registered Fund.

iCapital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to serve as the central point of ownership for these funds. This is a critical, high-visibility role that will act as the primary point of contact for all operational aspects of a GP's '34 Act fund(s). This individual will partner closely with the GP's dedicated Relationship Manager to ensure a seamless client experience, with the RM managing the overall firm relationship and you owning the product-specific lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Co-manage the fund launch project plan for new clients in close partnership with the Fund Origination team, ensuring all milestones across structuring, documentation, operational readiness, and launch are met on time.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational, administrative, and technical aspects of the GP's '34 Act fund(s).
  • Work in tandem with the GP's Relationship Manager to provide coordinated and comprehensive service experience.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the GP and all internal iCapital teams, including Fund Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Technology, to manage ongoing fund operations.
  • Act as a key coordinator between the GP client and their distribution partners (wealth management firms) which includes working with the Investor Relations team and iCapital Wealth Management RM covering the distributor to ensure operational readiness, resolve inquiries, and facilitate a smooth flow of information on behalf of the GP.
  • Coordinate the internal review of all fund documents (PPM, LPA, Form 10) to ensure operational feasibility.
  • Oversee the configuration of the fund on the iCapital platform, including share classes, fee structures, and reporting requirements.
  • Lead the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process with internal teams to validate all platform workflows before launch.
  • Provide clients with valuable market intelligence on '34 Act fund trends and structural best practices.
  • Maintain a risk and issue log for each fund launch and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our operational playbooks.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in product management, project management, or a client-facing fund operations role within the financial services industry.
  • Deep understanding of alternative investment products and fund structures is required. Direct experience with registered funds (e.g., interval funds, tender offer funds, BDCs) or private funds with complex operational requirements is highly preferred
  • Familiar with software and technology platforms used across the alternative investments, wealth management, and fund services landscape
  • Able to develop an intimate understanding of the iCapital system and its relation to the broader ecosystem of administrators, custodians, and transfer agents
  • Familiar with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, including an understanding of periodic SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), is a significant plus
  • Proven ability to manage sophisticated institutional client relationships, with exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Track record of successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from inception to completion. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at managing competing priorities
  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to navigate a complex ecosystem and work effectively across different internal functional teams and external client relationships (GP, Distribution Partner) to achieve a common goal
  • Direct experience in an investor services or investor relations role at a General Partner (GP) or alternative investment fund
