Platform Operations - Vice President

iCapital is seeking an experienced Vice President to join the US Platform Operations team and play a critical role in how alternative investment products are delivered to clients. This leader will oversee the execution of operational and technical requirements across the platform, ensuring scalable, high-quality delivery for the growing alternatives business.

The Vice President will lead a team responsible for business as usual (BAU) platform operations, middle office execution, and technical support, with a strong focus on operational excellence, process optimization, and client experience. This role is highly visible, cross functional, and essential to maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of iCapital’s platform in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end operational execution of fund launches across the VP’s covered client portfolio, ensuring on‑time, accurate delivery aligned with client commitments and platform readiness.
  • Support the alternative investments business with day‑to‑day platform operations ensuring consistent execution aligned with operational standards and service expectations.
  • Manage a dedicated book of alternative investment clients, overseeing recurring activities including fund launches, platform configurations, technical operations, and ongoing support.
  • Develop and directly manage a team of 3–5 professionals across middle‑office and pipeline operations, fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive efficiency and scalability across BAU operations by standardizing processes, strengthening quality controls, and delivering training and guidance to the team.
  • Own issue management and escalation, serving as a senior point of contact for complex operational challenges and stakeholder coordination.
  • Balance daily execution with ongoing process improvement, identifying opportunities to operationalize enhancements and reduce risk.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for documentation, knowledge management, and process transparency within the team and across the organization.
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional teams, including Client Management, Product, Technology, and Fund Origination to troubleshoot issues, inform platform enhancements, and support broader business objectives.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or alternatives, with at least 3+ years in platform operations, middle‑office operations, or a related function
  • Experience in a high‑growth or scaling organization is strongly preferred
  • Proven track record managing and developing small, operations‑focused teams in dynamic environments and experience onboarding and ramping new hires is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership in operational execution, including ticketing management, client responsiveness, and resolution of complex operational and support issues
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver consistent results in a fast‑paced setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex operational and technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven client‑facing experience, including managing senior client relationships and navigating high‑expectation environments
  • Experience driving and enhancing established operational processes within middle‑office or comparable domains
  • Alternatives industry experience is a plus

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $160,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
