
People Partner – Senior Vice President
About the Role
iCapital is seeking a highly accomplished senior Human Resources (HR) Business Partner to join our team and support the continued growth of our international business. Reporting directly to the Head of People Partners, this role will be instrumental in supporting the company's global expansion as we continue to grow across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Canada and Latin American regions.

With more than 3,200 colleagues across 11 countries, the iCapital HR function thinks and acts globally. As a member of our global People Partner team, and International Management team, this role requires partnership with senior leaders, managers, and employees within their regions, across a wide spectrum of people-related initiatives. This individual will be an integral part of the leadership teams they support and must collaborate closely with both local and global teams to execute our people strategy. This role will support the roll out of global employee life cycle programs and will ensure programs are adapted for local teams, as needed. This role requires sound judgment to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and balance the priorities of multiple stakeholders. As we enter new markets, you will play a key role in guiding entity setup and building scalable people operations to support our expanding footprint. A successful candidate will take an analytical approach, possess a keen eye for detail and be able to interpret data trends and themes to make informed decisions. A successful HR track record with a global company, leadership experience in building and leading high-performing teams, and an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine passion for human capital management, are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, managers, and employees across the International regions.
- Partner with senior leaders on organizational design, change management, and leadership effectiveness to ensure the international business area is structured and positioned to deliver against business priorities.
- Guide workforce planning, including headcount planning and budgeting, in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of HR Business Partners across EMEA and APAC, and coordinate proactively with the US People Partner team in supporting the Americas, to build capability, consistency, and strong partnership across the regions.
- Support the execution of company-wide HR programs and processes, including talent reviews, performance management, compensation planning, employee surveys, and year-end activities.
- Partner across HR and other corporate functions (including Finance and Legal) to drive a coordinated, one-team approach.
- Contribute organizational insight and thought partnership to the People Partners team and broader HR function.
- Use data and insights to identify trends and influence business decisions.
- Handle sensitive employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion, including documentation, risk assessment, and partnership with Legal and other stakeholders as needed across multiple jurisdictions.
- Coach managers on individual and team-related matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve policies, programs, and processes based on insights from across the organization.
- Model and champion, our collaborative and team-oriented culture and possess a commitment to doing the "right thing" for both the employee and the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Graduate degree, SHRM-CP certification a plus
- 15+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with 10+ years of HR Business Partner experience and proven track record of building and leading high performing teams
- Fluency in English required, with some working knowledge of Swiss German preferred, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional knowledge of Portuguese or Mandarin is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in the office 4 days per week and travel to other company offices as needed
- Proven success in a global, high-growth environment; experience in Financial Services, FinTech or Technology industries strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting international client groups across multiple countries and navigating cross-border people issues with sound judgment and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior leaders, build credibility quickly, and operate effectively in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.
