Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition, Tech Recruiting to lead and evolve our technology recruiting function at ID.me. This is a highly visible and strategic role responsible for building and executing data-informed recruiting strategies that attract exceptional engineering and technical talent to our mission-driven organization.
As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you’ll partner closely with senior technology leaders and cross-functional partners to analyze hiring funnel performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive solutions that increase efficiency, quality of hire, and recruiter productivity. You’ll inspire and develop a team of recruiters and sourcers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of recruiters and sourcers focused on technology hiring, fostering a high-performing, mission-driven culture.
- Analyze recruiting data and funnel metrics to identify trends, optimize performance, and recommend strategies that improve efficiency and candidate experience.
- Partner with senior technology and business leaders to understand hiring needs, advise on talent market dynamics, and craft creative sourcing and engagement strategies.
- Build strong internal client relationships, leveraging data to tell a compelling story and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Innovate continuously—experiment with AI-driven sourcing tools, new platforms, and creative campaigns to engage world-class technical talent.
- Drive recruiting operations excellence, ensuring scalable processes, consistent candidate experiences, and alignment with ID.me’s growth goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Business Operations to forecast headcount needs and manage hiring plan delivery.
- Represent ID.me’s brand in the Bay Area and beyond, serving as an ambassador to attract and engage top-tier engineers and technical professionals.
Ideal Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including 5+ years leading technical recruiting teams in a high-growth or complex environment.
- Proven ability to analyze recruiting data, present insights to executives, and drive measurable improvement across the funnel.
- Deep understanding of the Bay Area tech talent market and proven ability to attract top engineering talent through creative, high-impact sourcing.
- Strong client management skills with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with both enterprise and startup recruiting environments, bringing structured thinking with a scrappy, experimental mindset.
- Highly curious and AI-focused, with a passion for exploring new technologies and data tools to enhance recruiter productivity and candidate reach.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into insights and tell compelling stories that inspire action.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.

Mountain View, CA Pay Range
$225,000 - $255,000 USD
