Intern, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) Intern will support the SS&P team with reporting, organization, contract management, and general administrative functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with reporting and analysis, including vendor requestors, approvers, agency data, and vendor categorization.
  • Help organize and maintain the SS&P team’s channels and documentation for easy access and management.
  • Support the transition of contract management systems, including data export/import and documentation workflows.
  • Support the documentation and analysis of key contracts.
  • Contribute to the preparation and administration of the monthly SS&P newsletter.
  • Gather and organize key stakeholder information within select categories.
  • Support the redesign and enhancement of the SS&P SharePoint site.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the SS&P team.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) in Business Administration / Supply Chain / Marketing / other related major.
  • Related experience in projects, clubs, or previous internships preferred.
  • In-office requirement three days a week.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative and ownership of projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
  • Experience with SharePoint design is a plus.

NYC SALARY RANGE:
The hourly range for this position is $17 to $19. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
