Asia Public Relations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Asia Public Relations Manager to manage media relations and public affairs in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia and make our company a household name in the region. This role will be based in our APAC headquaters, Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing JD.com's brand image, managing media relations, and coordinating with various business units to ensure a cohesive and effective regional PR strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of PR activities, including media outreach, press releases, PR events, and speaking opportunities for executives in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Hong Kong and Southeast Asia media outlets, influencers, and key opinion leaders to position JD.com as a thought leader and innovator in the e-commerce space.
  • Monitor Hong Kong and Southeast Asia media coverage, analyze PR campaign performance, and provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing, investor relations, and other departments to ensure integrated communications and brand consistency.
  • Provide PR guidance and support for product launches, corporate initiatives, and partnerships in multiple markets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in public relations, with a proven track record in managing Hong Kong and Southeast Asia PR campaigns.
  • Strong existing media relationships and the ability to develop new contacts across markets.
  • Excellent Chinese and English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with a regional audience.
  • A deep understanding of cross-cultural communication and the ability to tailor messaging to different markets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in the e-commerce, technology, or retail industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience in crisis management.
