Strategic Account Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and organized Strategic Account Manager to join our North America Distribution team. Reporting to the General Manager of Distribution, this role is responsible for developing and executing customer-level sales strategies that align with broader organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and excel at cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Category Management, Product Management, Business Development, Data Science, Channel Marketing, and Sales Operations. This role involves building and strengthening relationships with third-party retail partners to support the growth of AR and VR hardware initiatives.

This position requires the candidate to work from a designated office location at least three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead category-specific strategy and execution (AR or VR) to meet business objectives
- Drive and manage business and marketing budgets to achieve KPIs
- Ensure forecast accuracy and proactively identify risks to internal demand plans
- Share account-level insights through weekly business reports and sales reviews
- Use dashboards and data tools to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Provide clear business context to internal and external stakeholders regarding KPI progress
- Manage day-to-day account operations and contribute to annual strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency
- Support development of Annual Customer Plans, Quarterly Business Reviews, Joint Business Plans, and CPFR processes
- Partner with Business Analytics teams to guide data-driven projects
- Lead key retail partner initiatives and special projects as needed
- Create business briefings and recaps to maintain alignment with leadership and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate deep understanding of category strategy and product specialization
- Communicate product value and differentiation to internal and external partners
- Monitor market share rankings and report risks or opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or Business Development within Consumer Electronics across Mass Retail, Club, Regional, and eCommerce channels
- Familiarity with distribution models supporting retail partnerships
- Strong knowledge of the Consumer Electronics market, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Proven success in meeting sales quotas and executing business plans
- Experience managing collaborative workloads within defined timelines
- Excellent negotiation, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
- Prior experience negotiating annual partner contracts and agreements
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace

Location: Onsite (Burlingame, CA)
Role type: Contract 9 Month Position
Expected hours: 40 per week
