Role: Managing Partner

Location: London (3 days a week from our London offices)

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

OLIVER is seeking a growth-oriented Managing Partner to lead and expand a major UK account portfolio. This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our pioneering in-house agency model, where you will be instrumental in driving client success, commercial growth, and operational excellence.

You will own the day-to-day leadership of 2-3 significant client relationships (across financial/ professional services brands) , serving as the linchpin between our account, creative, strategy, and production teams. Your mission is to translate our unique model into seamless, high-impact delivery that deepens partnerships, uncovers new opportunities, and ensures we are indispensable to our clients' success.

THE ROLE

Reports to: Client Partner, UK
Direct Reports: Circa 3-4 (Business Director, Group Account Director, Account Director)
Key Collaborators: OLIVER UK Senior Leadership, Heads of Strategy, Creative, & Production, and specialists across The Brandtech Group (Gen AI, media, data, commerce).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Strategic & Client Leadership

  • In partnership with the Client Partner, build and execute the annual account development plan, owning
  • key workstreams and reporting on progress.
  • Become an expert in the OLIVER model, articulating its value to senior stakeholders and embedding
  • scalable processes that drive efficiency and agility.
  • Anticipate client needs, build trust-based relationships, and act as the senior escalation point to resolve challenges swiftly.

Commercial Ownership

  • Take full accountability for the commercial health of your portfolio (c.¬£10M), including P&L
  • management, forecasting, scoping, and margin optimization.
  • Ensure financial rigor across all processes, from rate cards and change control to POs and invoicing, to
  • meet revenue and profitability targets.
  • Drive growth by identifying and converting new opportunities, leading pitch/tender contributions for expanded scopes.

Talent, team & Operational Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, taking full ownership of its culture, diversity, and development.
  • Foster an inclusive environment focused on wellbeing and growth and actively manage talent through equitable hiring and succession planning.
  • Ensure operational excellence by balancing team capacity against demand, removing blockers, and inspiring your team to produce brilliant, on-budget work that drives client success.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • An Experienced Agency Leader: 10+ years in client services or account leadership within a marketing, advertising, or in-house agency environment.
  • A Proven Growth Driver: You have a demonstrable track record of delivering client satisfaction and organic growth on complex, multi-stakeholder UK accounts.
  • Commercially Astute: You possess deep P&L literacy and hands-on experience managing scoping, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Operationally Excellent: You are skilled in process, governance, and risk management, with an instinct for the "brilliant basics."
  • An Innovative Thinker: You are fluent in modern marketing workflows and have a keen interest in the practical application of AI and automation to drive efficiency.
  • An Inspiring Collaborator: You excel at orchestrating cross-functional teams, acting as a decisive, supportive, and solutions-focused leader.

  • Growth: Consistent, measurable growth across your account portfolio.
  • Partnership: High client satisfaction scores (CSAT/NPS), strong retention, and client advocacy.
  • Innovation: Successful pilots and adoption of Gen AI/Brandtech capabilities with measurable impact. Performance: Accurate forecasting, healthy profit margins, and strong team utilization.
  • Culture: Positive team health (NPS, retention) with clear evidence of career development for your direct reports.
