Role:  Senior Project Manager (6 months FTC)

Location:  London, United Kingdom (2-3 days from our London HQ)

 

About the role: 

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing complex projects.. You’ll ensure seamless project and product outcomes, working closely with account leads (Account Directors or Senior Account Managers) and other project stakeholders. You’ll own resource management for your projects , conduct reviews of project deliverables, ensure timing plans are updated and shared with clients within 48 hours. You will be involved in the training and professional development of your project management team (if applicable). 

What you will be doing: 

  • Allocate and monitor on-site resource, building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with all discipline leads to correctly identify/assign appropriate team member(s) per client brief  
  • Have knowledge of the contractual core team, assisting predictions of resource requirements & maximum spend that will ensure margin management  
  • Identify and resolve any potential resource conflicts and resolving/ or escalate to Programme Manager/ Group Account Director prior to a crisis 
  • Ownership of skill-set matrix for members of staff in designated area/on-site  
  • Manage projects from beginning to end with clear communication on a regular basis on milestones, targets, goals and deadlines  
  • Continuously assess working methods and processes and making recommendations for improvement 
  • Ensure key Service Level Agreements are met by all parties involved  
  • Oversee production, QC, ingest and output of assets within the delivery process 
  • Responsible for QC of all deliverables before going to client 
  • Responsible for understanding client feedback and asking questions if unclear 
  • The ability to develop and put forward the best process in tackling data gathering and storing  
  • Liaising closely with other account leads to ensure we are always following best practice  
  • Have a strong understanding of our client’s businesses and their communication objectives  
  • The ability to host clear, efficient and productive project meetings for differing stages of the project from kick off, discovery and so on, using a project methodology   
  • (if applicable) Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, providing guidance and support in managing projects from initiation to completion 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 8+ years experience of managing campaigns in an Advertising Agency, with good knowledge of social, digital and moving image. 
  • Proven ability to manage a heavy workload under pressure by effectively prioritising, planning ahead and overseeing multiple tasks at any one time. 
  • Great communication skills that are tailored for the recipients including clients and being proactive 
  • Strong track record in executing campaigns across multiple platforms. 
  • Used to leveraging Social/ Digital / Film / Video Production/Gen AI expertise as part of a holistic approach to campaign execution. 
  • Experience working on social toolkits and social strategy projects essential 
  • Previous Experience of Budget Management and Scheduling essential. 
  • Previous Experience of Resource and Production services sourcing essential. 
  • Experience in managing shoot production a bonus 
  • Must be working with AI (Pencil) or strong aspirations to use gen AI in projects and understand where/how to use Gen AI 
  • A strong financial acumen and ability to deliver on financial reporting/forecasting. 
  • Knowledge of Pencil Pro essential 
  • Have a positive, can-do outlook, willing to leverage past experience to provide the best solution for each project you own. 
  • Be a natural leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide project teams. 
  • Be willing to share your experience and collaborate with your global network of colleagues. 
  • Be unafraid to ask questions and have an innate ability to identify and manage production risk. 
  • Use initiative and be proactive in everything you do. 
  • Have the ability to persuade and negotiate in order to reach the best possible outcome for both the Agency and its clients.
