Role:  Senior Transcreation Manager  (6 Month-FTC)

Location:  London, United Kingdom (3 days a week from our Oliver offices/ seasonal hybrid working from our Client Canary Wharf offices)

About the role:

As Senior Transcreation Manager, you'll own the quality planning and delivery of transcreation projects from briefing through to final output, working directly with the Transcreation Director and across internal account teams including production, digital, broadcast, and on-site client teams.

You'll build and manage relationships with a global network of in-market copywriters, transcreators, translators, and editors, allocating work, tracking progress, and maintaining quality standards at every project stage. You'll also work with the Transcreation Director on your own KPIs, setting clear goals for your own progression within the language services team.

This role is well suited to an experienced transcreation or localisation project manager who is ready to take on greater strategic responsibility, lead and develop a team, and act as a trusted partner to both clients and in-market talent.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of transcreation projects, monitoring progress, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring on-time, on-quality delivery across all markets and channels
  • Allocate work to in-market copywriters, transcreators, translators, and editors, managing the full project lifecycle with clear communication and robust tracking
  • Quality check transcreations at key project stages, ensuring creative intent, tone, and brand standards are maintained across languages and markets
  • Liaise with clients to discuss and agree scope of work, managing and exceeding expectations in alignment with the Transcreation Director
  • Communicate project status and workflow clearly to multiple internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate reporting and data analysis to inform project strategy
  • Mentor and develop a team of Transcreation Managers and Transcreation Executives, building capability in resourcing, project execution, and client management
  • Provide guidance on recruitment targets to support project and team needs
  • Work with the Transcreation Director to set and track personal KPIs, contributing to the ongoing development of the language services team
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with in-market creatives and talent across the global network
  • Contribute to process improvement, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, quality standards, and client satisfaction
  • Budget and project financial management:
  • Manage project-level budgets including forecasting, cost estimation, purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliation
  • Source and negotiate rates with freelance creatives and language service providers, driving cost efficiency without compromising quality
  • Track spend throughout the project lifecycle, flag variances early, and support accurate financial reporting

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A proven track record in transcreation, localisation, or multilingual creative project management, with experience delivering complex projects across multiple markets and channels simultaneously
  • Strong project or account management skills, with excellent organisational ability and the capacity to manage competing priorities across a varied project portfolio
  • Experience managing and developing a team, with the ability to give clear, constructive feedback and support the professional growth of junior colleagues
  • Solid vendor management experience, including sourcing, briefing, and managing freelance creatives and language service providers
  • Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and their application in creative transcreation workflows
  • A good working understanding of localisation and creative production processes across marketing channels, including digital, social, broadcast, and print
  • Strong communication skills across formats, including client-facing conversations, written briefs, and stakeholder presentations
  • Professional proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English is highly valued
  • Budget and financial management:
    • Experience managing project-level budgets, including forecasting, cost estimation, and financial tracking
    • Confidence negotiating with freelance suppliers and language service partners to deliver value without compromising creative quality
  • Gen AI and Agentic Thinking:
    • Advanced use of Gen AI tools relevant to transcreation, localisation, and language services workflows, with a strong understanding of where AI enhances output and where human creative and linguistic judgment is essential
    • Experience designing or contributing to AI-assisted workflows for self and team, improving efficiency and consistency across high-volume multilingual projects
    • Ability to train others on effective use of AI tools within a transcreation context, including responsible use and quality evaluation of AI-generated language outputs
    • Agentic thinking for complex, multi-market, multi-stakeholder project challenges: able to break problems into components, identify the most efficient path forward, and adapt when briefs or priorities shift
    • Rigorous human oversight of AI outputs, with a nuanced understanding of the cultural and creative limitations of AI in multilingual marketing work
  • Formal qualifications are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience gained through work, self-directed learning, or other routes is equally valued. On-the-job training will be provided.
